Mobile Medical Units for Remote Access

The Mobile Medical Unit program has been approved by the Ministry of AYUSH, Govt. of India under National AYUSH Mission (NAM) in the year 2023-24. Progammme has been launched in the State on 11.12.2024.

The objective of the program is to focus on tribal regions (Kinnaur, Spiti, Pangi) and the Shillai Block of District Sirmour. The Mobile Medical Unit consists a core team comprising of one Ayurvedic Medical Officer (AMO), an Ayurvedic Pharmacy Officer (APO) and a Class-IV.MMU vehicle has been equipped with ample space for medicines, equipments and IEC material.
